Dear James, Thank you for making my hen weekend so special. Every last detail has been though of. The wine, the food, the house, the pool have been wonderful, perfect, fabulous which meant out weekend has been very memorable.

The very special Chateau Chiraud was built in 1879 by a local Count as a place to entertain during the hunting season. It is located in the Haut Vienne area of the Limousin and has a wonderful feel to it with a comfortable and cleverly designed interior space and extensive grounds. It is an ideal location for a holiday with family or friends and is available throughout the year. The property has been totally renovated and provides all modern comforts but retains the original features of a French chateau. Chateau Chiraud sits in a four acre walled park that has many trees over 100 years old.
Chateau Chiraud is sitauted in an elevated position, so with large windows in every room you will have extensive views across fields filled with grazing Limousin cattle with a backdrop of the distant Mont de Blond Mountains, or the park and the pool area. Displayed throughout the property is a changing exhibition of modern paintings and prints from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Limoges.
Fine linen and duck-down duvets are in all bedrooms and all five bathrooms have limestone tiling, waffle bathrobes and windows onto the gardens. Outside you will find a large 12mx6m heated pool with naturally filtered crystal clear water where you can enjoy a swim or simply relax on one of the sun loungers. There is also an alfresco dining area with space for 12.
