The impressive XVII century 60 acre estate of the Chateau de Bajac is one of France’s most impressive holiday castles. The chateau can sleep up to 22 guests in great comfort; there is also superb pool, extensive grounds and a fish pond. The Orangery comes equipped with a billiard salon and a home cinema!
Henri IV of France stayed at the Chateau de Bajac in 1565 whilst taking part in a hunting trip with friends. A plaque in the nearby chapel commemorates the Royal visit. The local Bordeaux wines that the King was so partial to are world renowned. The famous St. Emilion winery is just down the road and Toulouse is also with in easy reach.
All in all the Chateau de Bajac is heavenly for relaxation and also makes an excellent base for exploring both the Bordeaux and Dordogne regions.
