Whether you're planning a special family holiday or an exclusive board meeting, you simply won't find a more fascinating, impressive and memorable venue than le Manoir Audierne. The Manoir has been inhabited continually for five hundred years and its current owners have restored and refurbished this magnificent property to an exceptionally high standard.

Situated in Southern Brittany, 7km west of the picturesque fishing port of Audierne, and just 10 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of St Tugen, the Manoir is available for rental throughout the year.

You will be greeted on arrival, all beds will be made and there will be plenty of extra linen and towels. You and your guests will have exclusive use of all facilities of le Manoir - no one lives there but you. Services available to you through request to Oliver's VIP Concierge Team include: Full bedmaking and daily cleaning service. Service of breakfast. Provision and service of lunch and dinner. Gardening and swimming pool maintenance are taken care of, and the Laouenan family are available to stack wood and maintain the enormous fires for you.

The Manoir is composed of three self-contained apartments within the main building (ideal for families sharing) and breakdown as follows.

Le Grand Manoir comprises five large bedrooms with bathrooms, and two extra bedrooms, comfortably sleeping up to twelve people. It includes a large kitchen, a "Grand Salon" and a "Grande Salle de Banquet". Large fireplaces ensure roaring fires on those cold winter evenings.

The Garden Wing has two large bedrooms, one large salon/cuisine, and sleeps four.

La Garde (The Tower) accommodates four people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper floor; a large salon with grand fireplace on the first floor, and a large kitchen and extra downstairs WC.

All three kitchens are fully equipped with coooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and all utensils. All linen is provided and beds are made for your arrival. A daily cleaner and any extra staff can be arranged on request. Ample logs are provided for winter use.

Outside the property sits in 100 acres of grounds that are for the exclusive use of our guests. Facilities include the garden swimming pool with accessories, a small disused but charming chapel, a 15th century dovecote, a tennis court, a lake and an apple orchard. There is ample car parking.

Brittany is unsurprisingly France's most visited destination, with its exquisite, rugged landscapes that span inland forests and coastlines, its extensive history, its unique and varied culture and heritage, its superb food and drink and its friendly, helpful people. For sightseeing, sports of all kinds and family activities, the region is hard to beat.

The region of Cap Sizun combines natural beauty, history, heritage, local culture and friendly people to create an almost limitless range of sight-seeing options to suit all tastes and ages. For the full story, contact the local tourist office in Audierne and they'll help you with your choice. You may wish to use bicycles - there are plenty of hire shops in the area.

Aside from world-class hospitality - naturally! - the great passion of the Goring family is sport - in particular sailing and horse-riding. Not least because of its proximity to one of France's great beaches, St Tugen (a short walk away), le Manoir de Lezurec is blessed with extraordinary local facilities.

If you like life on the water, there's sailing, canoeing, sea and river rowing, surfing (St Tugen is a renowned surfing beach), cruising, scuba diving, windsurfing and also fishing. As you'd expect, there's also a great deal of maritime heritage to be enjoyed here. And don't forget le Manoir's own delightful swimming pool!

Audierne is the vibrant, colourful fishing port that's the nearest big town to le Manoir. As well as being a wonderful place to visit in its own right, it's where you'll find most of the shops, food and wine, hotels and restaurants you may need during your stay.

Local specialities include - of course - sea food, patisseries, crêpes, and don't forget the powerful apple brandy, Calvados! For local legumes, perfect croissants, superb seafood and a whole lot more, go to Les Halles, the local daily market. Quimper porcelain makes an ideal gift or souvenir. A fabulous market On Saturday mornings, the Audierne market is one of the great features of the area - not only a great way to stock up the larders at le Manoir, but also good fun for everyone.

Brittany's remarkable religious heritage has produced all sorts of sights and events, most renowned of which perhaps are the various "Pardons". There are events of all kinds throughout the year in Cap Sizun, many of them in the vicinity of Audieme.

In town, in the country or by the sea - there are many delightful routes and guided excursions to choose from.

Included among the many historical sites of interest are the church at St Tugen, the St Raymond Church at Audieme, and the Museum at Pont Croix. There's also a guided tour of Old Audieme.

  • Loved every minute!

Posted by Anonymous User1 on 20/04/2012

I just wanted to say another thank you for the support you gave to help me to arrange my husband's 50th Birthday surprise at Manoir Audierne. Everything went to plan and my husband loved every minute, he just couldn't believe it as our friends started to arrive, and especially his children! Being able to get into the house earlier in the day really helped me, and M. Daniel was fantastic, he was so helpful and accommodating, it made all the difference.

The party night was magical, everyone had a fantastic time, M. Cariou prepared a superb meal and the waiter was very professional and did an excellent job. I also managed to get the fireworks, so everything worked out as we planned; it was a great interlude in the evening!

We were lucky enough to have friends who are also professional musicians staying with us, so we all enjoyed the impromptu after supper. It was a magical week for us all, and I feel sure there is a lot of interest in booking Le Manoir again. As a group, we have booked several big houses over the last 10 years, and this one was the best so far.  Thank you!
