"We stayed at this lovely chateau a week in june.....We found the place to suit us perfectly. The chateau has plenty of space with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms to provide privacy and prevent queueing in the morning. Many beautiful old things and art books completed a feeling of being back in the good old days. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and we used it a lot and made many excellent meals. This was also possible since the shops had good quality of seafood and other delicatesses......The chateau has a big lawn and this was very nice to have. We played frisbee, volleyball and badminton etc. The children took a bath in the sea and we found seashells on the shore.....Dinard was a nice town, clean and with lots of flowers......We went out to eat at a restaurant the owner recommended. The staff was very nice and the food was very good. They did not speak English and we know not so much French, so the communication between us were rather interesting. Other guests tried to help out and eventually the waiter had to bring us food from the kitchen to show us before we could order. It was amusing......Bretagne was absolutely a place to come back to and we are glad to recommend this lovely residence."

The Manoir de la Haute dates from 1880 and is a much loved family home with exceptional views across the bay to Saint Malo, situated on the Vicompté point just outside Dinard. A path directly from the garden leads down to a small private beach. We are 10 minutes walk from the centre of Dinard and about 15 minutes by car from Saint Malo. Dinan is roughly 20 minutes from here, Mont Saint Michel is about an hour.
The Dinard Yacht Club, water sports, shops and restaurants, the casino, a seawater swimming pool, the ferry across to Saint Malo and the main seafront and gardens, are just minutes away on foot. Gorgeous beaches, meandering coastal paths and extravagant 19th century villas stretch to the west of Dinard as far as St Lunaire and St Briac. One of the best links golf courses in France is at St Briac.
