The Château de la Creche accommodates up to fifteen guests in an exceptional setting south of Burgundy. In an idyllic location close to the Loire Valley, the Château is situated in 13 hectares of parks, woodland and beautifully appointed gardens. The neighbouring farm, which was part of the original estate and the largest in Burgundy, is famed for its cheese and other fresh produce.  With an excellent range of activities for all ages in close proximity, Château de la Creche is a superb, versatile choice of venue.

In addition to the wide range of activities nearby, guests will have the benefit of excellent facilities available on-site: a tennis court, petanque court, driving range, two par 3 golf holes, putting green, off-road buggies, mini-golf and swimming pool are available for your group’s exclusive use, and all are located within the woodland surrounding Château de la Creche. Those with children will find the Château to have a wide range of child-friendly activities. Contact Oliver's VIP Concierge Team to find out about breakfast or delicious evening meals.

With five large reception rooms on the ground floor, three beautifully furnished double bedrooms on the second floor and two stunning suites, one in each of the two towers, the château offers 1400sq metres of living space. All bedrooms can be arranged as twins (2 single beds) or doubles according to the needs of the group.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room. Located on the ground floor, the room enjoys exceptional views of the surrounding woodland and park, and doors that open out onto the terrace.  The room is superbly appointed, with chandeliers hanging from the high, beautifully decorated ceiling and antique tables set with damask tablecloths and crystal. The fireplace provides a focus to this majestic room. The television room (plasma TV) is wonderfully comfortable, with the Chesterfield sofas providing an ideal spot to relax with a newspaper or book, enjoy some music, or take pleasure in some quiet time in the late afternoon. Either the charming living room or the billiard room, which has the benefit of a bar (with beertender), are a stylish setting for a relaxing pre or post-dinner beverage. This floor also benefits from a library and a fully equipped kitchen (with Nespresso machine).

The Chateau has eight bedrooms and five bathrooms, accommodating up to fifteen guests. Suite 1 comprises two double bedrooms, a salon and an en suite bathroom. Suite 2 is split level, comprising two double bedrooms, one benefiting from its own balcony, with fantastic views of the surrounding area, and the other with the en suite bathroom. The chateau has four further double bedrooms, two with en suite bathrooms, and one separate bathroom.

The Chateau sits in the grounds of a 14 hectare estate. Facilities include a 10x5.5m swimming pool, tennis court and petanque court, situated in the parkland. The estate also benefits from a small vineyard, 6 hectares of woodland and 4 hectares of grassland. For those with an active disposition there are a range of on site activities available including children’s playground with trampoline, swing and slide, a football pitch, basketball net, boules, table tennis, clay pigeon shooting, driving range, archery, skeet shooting, two par 3 golf holes, putting green, mini golf and even off road driving! • Lovely olde chateau

    Created on 28/08/2013

Our family of 10 (kids, teens and adults) spent a lovely week at this chateau, it's totally authentic and has not lost any of its charm in the renovation. Expect creaky floorboards and a few cobwebs but also lovely features, great gardens and superb food cooked by Myrna. The setting is beautiful, in the middle of lovely countryside (lots of flies but a small price to pay for the scenery). The rooms are breathtaking and the gardens well kept. The pool area with kitchen and bbq is great, although the pool is not heated (which was great for us as we were there in a mini heatwave but worth considering out of summer season). The Chateau is a drive away from any real towns but in all honesty, we did not feel the need to leave it! We would defiantly return.

  • Great Place to Spend Time with Family and Friends

    Created on 28/08/2013

Located in a great area of France the Chateau is not too far from some great site. (Nevers, Apremont, Magny Cours and Le Pal to name a few) There is a nice pool with outdoor kitchen and grill and other nice amenities to use. The family who owns the Chateau is very nice and hospitable with any needs you may have.

  • A fabulous Burgundy retreat

    Created on 28/08/2013

A great location and a fabulous old chateau. It has been lovingly and sensitively restored to its former glory. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and there are plenty of activities to entertain all the family (tennis, table tennis, swimming, mini golf and hiking) The food was excellent and the service was discreet and very efficient.

  • C'est Magnifique!

    Created on 28/08/2013

Hildo and Myrna run a fantastic establishment. They pay an enormous amount of attention to detail, Myrna is a fabulous cook who made incredible 5 course french meals for us (my favorites were the sausage stuffed quail, roast duck, and escargot). Hildo handled all of our questions about visiting nearby towns and farms, making golf reservations, lighting the BBQ, skeet shooting lessons, the pool, ping pong table, trampoline, etc, etc, etc....

By the way, did I mention their daughter broke her leg horseback riding during our trip and they remained courteous and gracious hosts while attending to her in the hospital...(hope she's on the mend!) Highly recommended!!

  • Family Reunion at Chateau de la Creche

    Created on 28/08/2013

Chateau de la Creche was everything we had hoped for. Our family party of 15 ranging in age from 79 to 13 had a wonderful week enjoying a whole range of the wonderful facilities available. Swimming, tennis, football, golf, paint-balling and skeet shooting under the careful and expert guidance of Hildo. The go-carting at nearby Magny-Cours was an added attraction. The Chateau itself was fabulous, every one enjoyed their bedroom and the en-suite facilities and the quiet of the countryside. A special mention must be made of the fabulous cuisine presented by Myrna. Five courses of expert french cooking were enjoyed by all. Hildo and Myrna were excellent hosts being extremely welcoming and helpful in every way.

  • A fantastic Chateau week!

    Created on 28/08/2013

Our time at Chateau de la Creche was everything we hoped for. The Chauteu had an authentic feel and is beautifully restored. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. There are many things to do and it's a great place for kids. If you want to explore the surroundings there are plenty of beautiful and interesting places to visit.

Our hosts, Hildo and Myrna, were very welcoming, offered great service, fantastic food and it's noticeable that they put a lot of thought and commitment into this place. We highly recommend a visit.

  • My highest recommendation

Posted by Kirby C on 06/04/2010

The owners welcomed us into their beautiful chateau and treated us as special friends. They were extremely accommodating and gave us the best holiday experience we have ever had, exceeding all of our expectations. The Chateau is tastefully renovated providing an authentic atmosphere but with modern comfort. Myrna's cooking is simply the best food I have ever tasted and I would travel half way around the world just to experience it again. Hildo arranged many activities for us which were all fantastic fun. Highlights for us were skeet shooting, buggy driving and driving Formula 3 race cars at the Magny-Cours race track which was just incredible. On other days we visited the local towns or went for walks around the Chateau grounds watching the children playing on the swings, trampoline and other equipment on the property. If you are interested in a wonderful Chateau holiday in France then I give Le Chateau my highest recommendation.

  • We had an amazing stay at this chateau

Posted by James Wallace on 08/03/2010

We had an amazing stay at this chateau - wonderful location in the country/remote but accessible to many towns. Perfect for our children with an outdoor trampoline and many things for them to play with. The owner is on-site and made the most amazing dinners and were incredibly responsive to concerns or needs. We were thoroughly pleased and recommend to anyone with children!
