"Firstly, to let you know we had an excellent week at the Chateau; the weather was pretty good and the proprietor, catering and caretaker's teams all really kind and helpful. The catering service was just right and was used most nights by some 18-20 people. Everyone had a good time and full use was made of the tennis court and swimming pool. We would recommend it to others. Thank you Oliver and the Chateau personnel for all the help in arranging this successful and memorable holiday."

The stunning Chateau de Fremont, built in 1900 as a gift for Cecile Sorel (a famous actress) from her lover, is in a perfect location near Morvan (a protected natural park) and the excellent vineyards of the Cote d’Or, right in the heart of Burgundy. The vast estate sprawls over 10 acres and the view from the house looks over miles of unspoilt valley. The Chateau de Fremont is surrounded by grassland and a forest with a lake, a fishing pond, a private swimming pool and a tennis court for the use of the guests.
The Chateau de Fremont itself is steeped in History as during the Second World War it was used by the Red Cross as a hospital for French and British soldiers. Many local maps still show a red cross to indicate the estate.
