Since 1999 I have rented Le Chateau de Varennes 11 times, for both friends and family and, more recently, business clients. The Chateau itself is truly a gem - a beautiful, expansive property in a fantastically tranquil location within easy driving distance of Beaune, The Cote D’Or, Dijon and The Jura. All of the grand reception rooms are wonderfully authentic, whilst the bedrooms are by turns grand, cozy or delightfully individual. The state-of-the-art swimming pool and pool house completes a holiday or business entertaining experience I couldn’t recommend more highly.
I just wanted to write and say a big 'Thank You' for everything over the weekend. You have such a beautiful Chateau and it was the perfect place to celebrate not just my 30th birthday, but also my engagement to Catherine! We all had a wonderful time, and hope to return next year. We came in a family of 10 and found this marvelous castle to rest and visit beautiful Burgundy. The castle met all of our expectations and desires. The woods and surroundings are enchanted. We will tell our friends to experience it.
We have had such a fantastic week with our friends at this incredible chateau. The cook and the houseboy have been great, the food delicious, the pool warm and fun, the bed very comfortable. What more would you want? Hopefully we shall return!

A mandatory cleaning charge of €500 per week is levied on each booking and should be paid in cash at the end of your stay. This covers the full cleaning of the chateau at the end of your stay.
Full service is mandatory during peak season. Outside the peak season, self-catering is possible (except for weddings) and you can also book the cook and maid service on a per-day or per-meal basis. Full service allows guests to relax from domestic chores: cooking (breakfast, lunch & dinner), table service, cleaning. Pricing depends on the number of guests and requested schedules.
Many other services (babysitting, driver, laundry, chauffeured car rental and limo transportation from and to airport/station), activities (wine-tours, on-site wine-tasting courses, on-site cooking classes) and sports (tennis, golf, horse-riding, water-ski, wake-board) can also be arranged. Prices upon request.
Please do not hesitate to ask for more details. For example, feedback from our guests say that the chauffeured car is an excellent option as this allows you to avoid the hassle of driving on French roads and it is cheaper than car rental/train for groups over 5 people in the same car (a Mercedes mini-van can accommodate up to 7 people + the driver). The chauffeur is at your disposal and can drive you for wine-tours or from/to Paris, Geneva or anywhere you land or go to.
