Chateau De Rainack

The exquisite and unique Chateau de Rainack was built over the ruins of a former fortress that protected a crossing over the Indre River. Situated in the heart of the Loire Valley the Château today bears witness to 3 separate architectural periods from the the Fau Lords to the Renaissance right up to the 19th century.  

The Chateau de Rainack can comfortably sleep 30 people in 13 bedrooms, with satellite TV and internet connection in all the rooms. Also within the grounds of this romantic French chateau is a charming chapel which can seat around 80 people; making Chateau De Rainack perfect for a French wedding venue as a full catering service is also available.

The former house of Marquis de Lafayette, the Chateau de Rainack boasts a library, 18th Century living rooms, a music room and the ‘guards chamber’, where spectacular parties for up to 100 guests can be hosted. The Chateau de Rainack is beautifully set in a lush 15 hectare park that surrounds the chateau and chapel.

The chateau can comfortably sleep 30 people in 13 bedrooms, with satellite TV and internet connection in all the rooms. Each of the bedrooms comes with an en-suite bathroom facility. All the bedrooms are lovely and large, featuring some spectacular furniture and views. There are 8 large double rooms, a twin room, 2 double suites and a twin suite.

The reception rooms include the Salle Jean du Fau, the guards chamber where spectacular parties for up to 100 guests casn be organised. Zanzibar is a small building adjacent to the south side of the château is now a sophisticated lounge bar. Louis de Barberin is an impressive salon. Breakfast and suppers are usually taken in the Salon Aymard de Chouppes: The salon has kept its 18th century fireplace. The chateau also has a library. A perfect place to relax!

Amongst the private grounds there is a Chapel on site with stained glass windows. Around 80 people can seat inside.

The Chateau is in the heart of Loire Valley so there many wonderful Chateaux and gardens to visit nearby: Chateaux de Chenonceaux (20km), Amboise (20km), Loches (12km), Montpoupon (18km), Montrésor (18km), Valençay (40km), Chinon (40km), Azay le Rideau (35km), Langeais (40km), Chaumont (50km), and Villandry (30km). The Loire Valley vineyards offer wine tasting in Montlouis, Vouvray, Chinon, Bourgueuil and in Saumur.

Other local activities include tennis (100 meters from the chateau), hot-air ballooning, helicopter flights, canoeing, fishing, horse riding, and golf.

Catering is available at the chateau – self catering is not possible.

A marquee in the grounds is possible and the price depends of the size and the amount of equipment needed. An estimate is around 3000€. The wedding hire charge is 37€ per guest attending the wedding dinner.

The chapel of the Château can accommodate around 80 persons. There is access to an English speaking vicar or priest.

Accommodation
25 to 30 guests can sleep at the chateau. There is plenty of nearby accommodation to sleep the rest of the group.

Tours is 30 mins from the chateau (Ryanair flights from London Stansted).

- Security deposit: €1000. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
