Domaine De Mooresville

Only a short ride from Chartres and Chateaudun, the exquisitely decorated Domaine de Mooresville offers its guests the pleasure of an unforgettable sojourn in a country setting. The Domaine de Mooresville is set within a verdant and flowery park inhabited by century old trees, and the handsome image of the Château is quietly reflected in the adjacent lake.

You will be seduced by the elegant décor of the Domaine de Mooresville, ideal for holidays, weddings, conferences and cocktail parties. 30 guests can be accommodated in luxury with 4 grand and exquisitely decorated salons, 16 bedrooms of various sizes, a large dining room, a bar and leisure area complete with Jacuzzi and sauna.

The former Orangerie, has been transformed into a great reception hall that can accommodate up to 250 people for large events. The downstairs area is an impressive dancing or dining room supplied with catering facilities. One can view the dance floor from the upper level mezzanine, which opens onto a large recreation area and a rest area.

In 2001, the Domaine de Mooresville underwent a spectacular restoration program. Each room was fully decorated to the minutest detail, and today each offers the modern comfort you require in very stylish decor. Located on the second level of the main building, each room has its own distinct personality and a peaceful view of the quiet pond and a vast forest beyond.

At dusk or at dawn you may catch a glimpse of a deer, a pheasant, or the rare red squirrels native to the region. Single or double rooms are available, with one or two beds. Each room also has a uniquely decorated bathroom, complete with matching sink, shower and toilet. Guests with special needs have the option of staying in a specially-designed room complete with wheelchair accessibility. The castle’s 16 bedrooms can sleep up to 30 guests. In the grounds enjoy the vast parkland, the pond and the terrace at sunset.

Let yourselves be seduced by an array of cultural tourist activities local to the visit to the Domaine de Mooresville. Visit Chartres Cathedral, a jewel of Gothic architecture and stained glass, and the medieval Donjon and Castle at Chateaudun.

The Domaine de Mooresville is centrally placed between Chartres and Chateaudun. Take a ride in a boat on the river Loire. The district of Eure-et-Loir is an area rich in resources and cultural treasures.

Guests will be served a continental breakfast in the dining room. Because the Domaine de Mooresville does not have a restaurant on the site, the management will propose a variety of cold plates for lunch.

Locally there are an array of excellent restaurants suitable to gourmet appetites that can be found within a short radius of 3-15 km. If you prefer to take your meal in the peaceful setting of the Château where you can enjoy the sunset from the terrace, catering is also possible.
