This beautiful chateau is situated on a gently south facing sloping hillside, with extensive panoramic views over vineyards, sunflower fields and rolling countryside. The property which dates back to the 12th, 15th, 16th and 18th Centuries is set in 14 acres of parkland, is tastefully restored and provides ample opportunities to enjoy the stunning countryside in peace and tranquillity. Maid service during your stay is included in the rental price.
The heart of the chateau is a double volume Great Hall with curved stone staircase which leads to the galleried landing and the upstairs bedrooms. The Great Hall also opens on to a huge south facing upper terrace (with extensive views over the surrounding countryside) and to the east, to a beautiful traditional courtyard filled with scented flowers and bird song and an 18th Century chapel with original stain glass.
The interiors have been tastefully restored and are very light and spacious. The rooms are attractively decorated and well furnished including many antiques and paintings. There is a double en-suite bedroom with four poster bed on the ground floor, and a further three double bedrooms (two with large en-suites and one with its own huge dedicated bedroom/dressing room) on the first, galleried floor, plus an adjoining children’s bedroom with original ‘bateau lit’ French beds. The dinning room is served by a beautifully-fitted country kitchen. The dining room and sitting room are linked by double archway and a huge double sided fire-place. There are ample sitting arrangements in the courtyard, on the terraces and by the pool. Pergolas, trees and large umbrella parasols provide shade and tranquillity.
Ground Floor: Drawing room, Great Hall, dining room, kitchen, large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, separate wc. Access to 170 m2 terrace from drawing room and great hall. Access to courtyard with flower beds, lemon trees and singing birds, chapel, games room and out-buildings.
First floor: spacious galleried landing/sitting room, 4 large double bedrooms, 1 with twin beds, 2 bathrooms, one en suite, 1 shower room with wc en-suite. Additional folding bed and cot available.
Washing machine, dishwasher, bed linen/bathroom towels included, pool towels by special arrangement. Cleaning 6 hours weekly provided, telephone, gas barbecue, games room with table tennis. Please note that the internet connection is dial-up and is charged to expenditure.
The property is set in 14 acres of beautiful park land leading down to the river Auzoute. There is a private chapel in the beautiful enclosed courtyard and a flower garden boasting 300 year old cedar trees. The private swimming pool (size 12x6m) with a paved border and roman steps is reached from the double stairs off the main terrace as well as from the front. The pool is set in a panoramic setting with stunning views over the valley, and on a clear day the Pyrenees can be seen in the distance. Security at this secluded pool with panoramic views is provided by two automatic alarms.

The property is located in equal distance between Bordeaux and Toulouse (120m minutes). The Gers is part of historic Gascony and is one of the least spoiled parts of France which benefits from gorgeous country side and good international accessibility. A recent article by in the Travel Section of the Spectator magazine can be supplied at request.
There are several market towns within a short driving distance which offer wide range of shops, restaurants Michelen star and local and weekly markets: Condom 20 mins drive, Eauze 15 mins, Agen 60 min, Pau 70 min, Biarritz 150 min.
Bed linen/bathroom towels included (weekly change included). Cleaning 6 hours weekly included. Babysitting and cook available on request.
- Security deposit: €1000 for each week of your stay. This is paid prior to arrival and will be refunded in full within 10 days of departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are charged at an extra £120 per week.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price in the summer. Extra in winter.
- End of stay cleaning: £100. For bookings of 2 weeks or longer this charge does not apply.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
- Pets: Not allowed.
- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
