Nestled in a small valley beside the Lede River this luxurious French Chateau, dating from 1571, has been carefully maintained to preserve its remarkable original features. This chateau benefits from an incredible location that offers stunning views of the Bordeaux region and peaceful French countryside.
Chateau de Triaux, which contains 5 sumptuous bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a substantial swimming pool, is situated within beautiful gardens of around three hectares. Daily maid service is included in the rental rate.
This French chateau is only a short drive from Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a small town which sits on the banks of the River Lot in South West France. Also within easy reach are the towns of Cahors, St. Emilion, and Bergerac. A little further is Bordeaux, the provincial capital which is also worthy of a day trip.
The 5 bedrooms (2 doubles and 3 triples) are supplemented by 3 full bathrooms, a shower room and WC. They all have high-quality duvets and bedding. The kitchen, which also has laundry facilities, has an impressive fireplace and is set over two rooms. There are excellent amenities including two fridges, an espresso machine, a cooker, and a food processor.
The library which opens onto the pool area, has a large stone fireplace and wine storage. The games room, converted from a chapel, has pool and card tables, and is lit by a large chandelier. The substantial, chandelier-lit dining room seats between 8 and 14. There is also a well-equipped study for those who require it with two separate phone-lines, a fax machine, a photo-copier and a colour printer. There is a leather-furnished television room that leads onto a veranda adjacent to the pool.
Outside is the private swimming pool and a patio area with barbeque, set within the extensive grounds of the chateau. Mountain bikes and a boat are also provided so that you can explore the local area by land or water.

We absolutely LOVED the chateau. It is very beautiful, very modern in terms of bathrooms etc, and plenty of space for everyone. We had a couple of rainy days and we never found ourselves on top of one another in the house - lots of rooms to go and sit in and read/watch tv etc. The pool is gorgeous - very clean and again, lots of seating outside to sit around on. The grounds are lovely, Andy and Suzanne do a great job in tending to them. Speaking of Andy and Suzanne - they are lovely - extremely helpful and not at all invasive. Very kind to the children, taking them to feed the donkey and goat in the field! Both very hard workers and thorough in their work It was wonderful having Suzanne clean the house every day - it really took the pressure off of us to enjoy the holiday. They were a great resource for locations of doctors/supermarkets etc. The facilities were great - washing machine/dryer and extra fridge. Everything had been thought of - down to the towels for the pool waiting on the shelf near the back door. Little things like this make a big difference to a vacation. There was no shortage of towels, the bed linen was gorgeous. In all a very comfortable house to stay in. I think what makes the difference is that this isn't just a 'rental', but someone's home. You immediately feel at home yourself. It was a complete pleasure. My only regret is that we had to leave!!! I would love to have stayed another week, and may consider this next time. I would definately love to stay at the chateau again.

Myself, Husband and and two children Alex and Amber stayed at the Chateau de Triaux for the first three months of July. During this time
we had my parents, my parents in law, 3 brothers in law and 5 nieces / nephews come and stay at various stages of the three weeks. Every single one of us (19 in total) had an absolutely superb holiday. Not one of us could find fault with anything during the time we stayed there. The location was beautiful, the accomodation quite luxurious and the amenities complete there was practically nothing we could want for. However, what MADE the holiday was Suzanne and Andy - not only did our two babies love them. They were the perfect hosts. There were there when
we needed them, they provided everything we wanted and left us to enjoy our time when we needed. They recommended a fantastic Chef - Viv - and we enjoyed fabulous cuisine in a beautiful setting all of which was organised by Suzanne. We simply had to turn up in the impressive dining room and eat the culinary
delights. The housekeeping / managing of the house was done by quickly, efficiently and invisibly. It was fantastic to come in after a couple of hours by the pool to find the place spotless. The grounds and pool was managed beautifully by Andy and his local knowledge of both the Chateau and it's history was vast and extremely interesting. We feel on some occasions they went over and above the call of duty so to speak. We highly recommend the Chateau (mainly due to Suzanne and
Andy). Although the house is quite beautiful too. This was one of the most amazing and memorable holidays our family will have and it will be difficult if not impossible to top. Thank you Andy and Suzanne.
