Chateau Armorique offers luxury self catering accommodation in beautiful Brittany, France. The Villa is situated in the lakeside town of Huelgoat in the heart of the Parc d'Armorique, Finistere, less than an hour’s travel from the port of Roscoff and Brest Airport. Comfortably sleeping 13 people, with room for a few more on request, the villa offers a cost effective way for groups of friends, or extended families to holiday together in grandeur & style.
Recently restored to a high standard, it sits within ¾ acre of private grounds with views towards the lake and town.

Things to do
Guests who have stayed with us have found Chateau Armorique to be the perfect location to explore this part of Brittany and its immediate surroundings. Huelgoat is well known for its spectacular scenery, woodland walks, rock formations and caves. It has many amenities, all within walking distance of the villa. They include lakeside bars and restaurants, a town square, with an abundance of traditional shops, two supermarkets and a cinema, bicycle hire, archery, fishing, boating and golf nearby. A lakeside footpath from the villa leads you to a children’s park by the lake. Further on are the local swimming pool and tennis courts. 

The immediate area is ideal for those who like walking, fishing, cycling or just immersing themselves in this tranquil part of France. There really is something for everyone here and it’s all in walking distance, the minute you step out.

Children of all ages are also well catered for. There is a play frame, football net, table tennis table, badminton net, indoor toys, games and books, etc. BBQ and outdoor eating areas are provided for you so you can relax among the beautiful gardens. Inside there is a pool table and drinks bar within the games room, so you’ll never be short of something to do.

Arrival
On arrival, you will be greeted by our caretaker who will ensure that you are familiar you have everything you need, including a welcome pack which includes Champagne, chocolates, fresh food provisions, tea, coffee and a fully stocked drinks fridge in the bar. With such a fantastic location, Chateau Armorique really is the ideal place to have a perfect holiday!

The property has 5 large bedrooms to provide accommodation for up to 16 people comfortably. Luxury linen, towels and bath robes are provided for your use. There are two luxury bathrooms along with two seperate WC/bathrooms. We provide luxury toiletries to enhance your stay with us.

On the ground floor is a traditional oak fitted kitchen, with all modern conveniences including microwave, gas hob, electric oven, and 2 fridge freezers. In the dining room there is a large extendable antique oak dining table seating 10 people and an additional drop leaf table is also available. Relax in front of the magnificent ornate, hand carved granite fire place in the living room. Wood is available for the fire. Board games available.
TV and Music Facilities: There is a CD, tape/radio music system in the pool room. There are 2 TVs/DVD players, one in the sitting room and one in the family room upstairs. Internet, Wi-Fi, landline phone and cable TV are provided. Central heating is fitted throughout the Villa along with the open fire in the lounge.

We cater for all ages of children. Babies and toddler essentials are provided as well as toys, games, books and jigsaws suitable for all. There is a separate pool room along with a stocked bar, where you can listen to your music, have a drink and relax, with the large French windows open.

Outside there is a child's play frame, football nets, swing ball, badminton, table tennis, BBQ and seating area all within the large beautiful grounds. There is a local swimming pool within the town, a mere 10 minutes walk around the lake. There is extensive parking around the driveway that encircles the Villa.

Huelgoat is less than an hour from both the ferry port of Roscoff and Brest Airport, while the beautiful coast of Brittany is accessible within approximately 40 minutes.

During the summer time there are plenty of festivals to celebrate - don't miss the 'pig roast and Breton dancing' that is held in the square each August. The fireworks over the lake are a spectacular scene, especially from the villa. May and September are also popular months for exploring this town and area - and the colours of the trees in the forest in Autumn are breathtaking.

The lakeside town of Huelgoat is situated on the edge of 15-hectare lake and a forest of 1137 hectares in the Parc Nationale D'Armorique, Brittany. The nearest airport is Brest, a mere 50 minutes drive away. The ferry port of Roscoff is also only 50 minutes away. The nearest train station is in Carhaix which is 15 minutes away by car.
