Chateau Le Bois

In the heart of Brittany lies Chateau le Bois, a historical monument constructed in the 17th and 18th centuries, just a few minutes drive from Rennes. The chateau comfortably sleeps up to 11 adults and 2 children and even has a Jacuzzi spa for your group to relax in.

Chateau le Bois sits within 20 acres of private woodland with century old oak trees that surround the fishing lake. The chateau is conveniently located just one hour from the châteaux of the Loire, Mont-Saint-Michel and Saint Malo.

On the ground floor there are two large salons (the TV room comes with Satellite TV), a library, a grand dining room and the fully-equipped kitchen that leads out on to the terrace. There are also 2 WCs and a utility area.

Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and 2 suites (double bedrooms with their own living room). All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom (4 with bath, 1 with shower) and mini-bar. The bedrooms are very large and the suite living rooms can be used as additional sleeping areas.

Outside the chateau sits in 20 acres of wooded parkland. Fishing is possible in the lake from the bank or in rowing boat provided. There is also a Jacuzzi spa for your exclusive use, the private chapel and a BBQ. There is also plenty of outdoor furniture, including sun loungers.

The chateau is one hour from Dinard airport and 15 minutes from Rennes. The nearest town is Bain de Bretagne 5km away and there is a village within walking distance (1km). The nearest port is St Malo (1 hour drive).

Local activities include the tennis court in the village 300m from the chateau, a nearby swimming pool, and golf courses 10 km away.

Any amount of catering can be arranged on request. Why not try our Table d'Hotes menu during your stay.

Maid service is available for €15 per hour.

- Capacity: The property comfortably sleeps 11 adults and 2 children or teenagers.
- Security deposit: €1000. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price in the summer. €250 per week for central heating if used.
- End of stay cleaning: €100.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 11am.
- Pets: Outside only. A dog lives on site with the gatekeeper.
- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.

We have just returned from a two week stay at Chateau Le Bois and Firstly I must say that the pictures presented show the Chateau to it's true perfection
Our party consisted of Grand parents, Mum and Dad, Elder sister and fiancee and 15year old Triplets Yes 9 of us and it was a great choice for us We enjoyed the grounds and the goats, cats and Belto the dog the "Hot Tub" got well used as well as the BBQ. We must admit we did commission Daniel and Anne to Master up our final nights dinner and it was perfection itself all 6 courses of it!!!
We commend Maddam for her restoration of this property that has been standing since the 17th cent and may all her efforts be rewarded.
