Chateau La Garde

Chateau la Garde is a 15th century castle with 6 bedrooms, private swimming pool and fantastic views over the Loire River.

The nearest town is Paray le Monial which is 15km away. The medieval village of Marcigny is just 10km away. This is a beautiful part of France famed for its wines and gastronomy.

On the ground floor there is a large open plan kitchen and living area with huge original fireplace and seating for up to 12 guests. In addition there is a separate dining room, a further living room and a study/tv room with leading on to the rear terrace. On the first floor are the 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Outside the chateau sits within extensive grounds, with a private swimming pool and a dining terrace with views out to the Loire River.

Catering is available at the chateau by local catering companies (traiteurs) - typically this will cost from 30 euros per person for a 4-course meal. Alternatively it may be possible to hire a cook from the local village/town who can do any cooking that you wish during your stay – they are also usually happy to buy the food and clear up afterwards. Costs are typically between about 15 euros per hour. Maid service is usually available for about 15 euros per hour.

- Security deposit: €1000. This is paid prior to arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price in the summer. To expenditure in the winter.
- End of stay cleaning: Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
- Pets: No.
- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
