Le Chai

Le Chai is situated in a calm and tranquil landscape only 10 minutes from Bergerac airport. This large 19th century house sits within 7.5 acres of private grounds divided in to two parts.

One garden is designed around the large swimming-pool (15x7m) and the various outdoor activities such as badminton, the giant chessboard, table tennis and cricket. The other part of the garden is set up for relaxation and leisure.

The interior decoration brings the finishing touches to the house comprising 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a dining room that can seat up to 12 persons.

The house is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, wireless broadband internet and cable TV (with English and US channels), DVD players and stereo system. The rental includes a cleaner and cook if you want.

Vineyards and fortified towns are the highlights of the “Périgord Pourpre”, and the house sits in the heart of Monbazillac and Pécharmant – the two most famous vineyards among 13 other “AOCs” - just 10 minutes from the city of Bergerac.

The old town of Bergerac has kept its architectural heritage from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries that can be seen in the half-timbered houses. It is the starting point to discover the vineyards and castles of the region.

Fortified towns such as Beaumont, Eymet, Issigeac, Lalinde, Molières or Monpazier, among others, testify to the history of the Périgord, especially the rivalry with England that started in the 12th century.

The rental includes a cleaning person and cook if needed (for additional cost).

- Security deposit: €500. This is paid prior to arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price in the summer. €100 per week in the winter.
- End of stay cleaning: €100.
- Arrival time: 3pm onwards.
- Departure time: 11am.

- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
