Chateau Prayssac

Chateau Prayssac is a beautifully appointed house with far reaching views over its valley position, just two miles from Prayssac for shops and restaurants and close to Puy L'Evéque with its medieval old town on the banks of the Lot. The Cahors vineyards are close by and the house is just 20 miles from the town of Cahors itself.

Set on a hillside with lovely views across the valley and built in the traditional Quercy style with a pigeonnier, the house stands in over an acre of well maintained gardens, with extensive lawns and well stocked flower beds. Next to the fenced swimming pool (12x6m) is a covered terrace with summer kitchen, barbecue, garden furniture and table tennis.

The house is tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished throughout. The large living room has a huge stone fireplace with cast iron fireback leading to a dining area with chimney barbecue. The kitchen is decorated with hand made tiles and equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, American fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a second sitting room/study and a laundry room leading to a double garage. Satellite TV with English channels and WiFi is included.

On the ground floor are three bedrooms: a double with extra single bed and en suite shower room, a twin and a further double with dressing room and extra single bed. There are also two further bathrooms, one with bath and shower jacuzzi, the other with shower only.

Upstairs there are two twin rooms: one in the pigeonnier with dressing room, the other over the dining area sharing a bathroom. A sixth large twin bedroom has its own kitchen, shower room  and covered terrace and is situated in a separate building just below the swimming pool.

The house is within walking distance of the nearest village with 2500 inhabitants, 27km from Biron, 30km from Cahors and 35km from Gourdon. Libos is the nearest railway station 20km away. Airports include: Toulouse 145km, Périgueux 110km and Agen 80km.

Activities include: swimming pool (on site), diving, canoeing, tennis, 18 hole golf course (30km), minigolf, horseriding (2km), fishing, walking paths, mountain bike tracks, bricabrac, festivals, market towns.

- Security deposit: €600. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: Available for hire. €10 p/p for bed linen, €5 p/p for towels.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price.
- End of stay cleaning: Please leave the property in the state that you found it or end of stay cleaning can be arranged for additional cost.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
