Chateau De La Cheine

Located just 5 minutes from the lively market town of Bergerac, yet in a pretty countryside location, the Chateau de la Cheine is the ideal location for family holidays, celebrations and reunions for up to 20 guests.

The Chateau sits within beautiful private grounds and has a large swimming pool. The welcoming elegant spacious rooms and extensive grounds provide room for rest and relaxation. The area is famed for wine tasting and within easy reach of all the famous 'Perigord' tourist attractions. The Chateau de la Cheine is in the local commune of Ginestet a predominantly wine and agricultural area.

The chateau has 10 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 6 WCs and can host 20 people in great comfort. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, a living room with a fireplace and seating for 17 and a dining room. Activities on offer in the chateau include snooker, a tuned piano, Satellite TV with English channels and table tennis.

Of the 10 bedrooms, 5 are doubles and 5 are twins, most of which are on the castle’s first floor. The chateau has central heating, and all bed linen and towels are provided.
 
The large park to the rear of the manor offers space aplenty for outdoor games, and a BBQ area. Dining outside in the garden is a must as is taking a dip in the private swimming pool.

Situated just a few minutes from the historic market town of Bergerac (9km), one is ideally positioned to visit the many attractions of the Dordogne. The chateau is in the local commune of Ginestet a predominantly wine and agricultural area.

From the Chateau de la Cheine you may easily access the towns of Bordeaux (1.5 hours), St Emillion (1 hour), Sarlat (1 hour), Perigueux (30 mins), and Limoges (2 hours). Local activities include horse riding, swimming, tennis, golf and wine tastings. Local activities include cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, swimming, and tennis.

Meals can be catered for by your hosts. A popular option is to have a meal ready for you on arrival. Typically a 4 course supper will cost 20 euros per head with local wine included. Payable on site directly with the owner.

The housekeeper is optional. Anything you wish for can be organised if you give the owner Karen reasonable notice. 

- Security deposit: €1500. The security deposit is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price. Swimming towels not included please bring your own.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price. There may be a charge for the low seasons. 
- End of stay cleaning: Included in the rental price but must be left in reasonable order or a cleaning charge will apply.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
- Pets: Please enquire.
- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
