Upon entering the house through double doors, one stands in a large, bright hallway. Leading off this hallway, is the modern kitchen with plenty of space to socialise while preparing delicious French cuisine. The kitchen features a central island unit with a five burner hob, a larder, fridge, and dishwasher. The panelled dining room, which seats 14, offers both a bright and airy room for breakfast and an atmospheric setting with log fire, solid oak furniture and an ornate ceiling for lingering dinners. There is also a HiFi which enables guests to enjoy music whilst they dine. The spacious lounge has modern three seater sofas and a French enamel wood burner as its focus with. Also included are a TV, DVD and CD player and a library of books and DVDs, which guests are welcome to enjoy.
The first floor can be reached by way of the beautifully spiralled oak staircase. Guests will be struck by the light on the first landing reflected off the original parquet flooring. The first floor comprises of two double bedrooms, one twin room and a bathroom, all of which enjoy double aspect views. All the spacious bedrooms in the house are tastefully furnished with white embroidered bed linen, original wooden parquet floors, and double-aspect views over the surrounding grounds and countryside. All the rooms have sufficient space for a cot, if necessary.
Continue up to the second floor and you'll appreciate the incredible space and light are a main feature throughout this house. The top floor contains the three other double bedrooms and one twin room. There is also a modern shower room with a power shower.
The property stands in an acre of beautiful grounds, within which the original fromagerie building still stands. There are no neighbours so guests can enjoy the utmost privacy and quiet during your stay. Included are a barbeque, a hammock, a croquet lawn, bicycles available for guests use, and plenty of space for guests’ parking.
