Surrounded by panoramic views of the rolling Normandy countryside, this spacious, seven bedroomed manoir is situated in a secluded location on the edge of the delightful village of Saint Evroult Notre Dame du Bois. The village is famed for its excellent local restaurants, markets, boating lake, and ancient Abbey ruins.
This Maison Maitre has good local amenities but charming, unspoilt, villages and the towns of Rouen and Le Mans are also within easy reach. Manoir La Poterie benefits from the privacy of having no immediate neighbours and sits in approximately one acre of grounds. However, it is still conveniently located for access to the local boulangerie in the mornings.
Built in the mid-19th Century at the height of the local Camembert industry, within the grounds of the property lies the traditional colombage longhouse that the Hubert family originally lived in. Prior to making their fortune producing their Camembert cheese, this was their home from the 18th century until the manoir was built. The original brick-built Fromagerie, still stands in the grounds, where the cheeses were allowed to air.
