The Chateau de Monteler is an incredible medieval castle situated in the most striking setting. The chateau is located in Versols, Southern Aveyron and overlooks the magical Valley of the Sorgues, providing breathtaking views. The Chateau de Monteler is entirely renovated and comes complete with a private swimming pool and garden, and together with the cottage can sleep up to 27 lucky guests.

The Chateau de Monteler dominates the Valley of the Sorgues with 4 imposing towers on each corner of the chateau and red shutters in each window that open up on to the magical landscape below.

The Chateau de Monteler can sleep up to 19 guests in 7 large bedroom/suites, 6 of which have en-suite bathrooms. The cottage next to the chateau can sleep a further 8 guests. Groups rent the entire estate so you will always have the Chateau and grounds exclusively.

Chateau: On the ground floor there is a modern kitchen, salon and vaulted dining room with piano. There is also a French billiard table and indoor table football in the Billiard Room. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms, “Harmony” and “Chapelle”, “Harmony” has an en-suite shower room and WC. The "Charlotte" room sleeps 4 in a large four poster bed, 2 twin beds and an en-suite bathroom and WC.

On the second floor the "Melchior" room sleeps 3 in a double and a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and WC. The "Estelle" room sleeps 4 in a large four-poster bed, an additional double bed and an en suite-bathroom and WC. The "Médiévale" room sleeps 2 and a baby in a four-poster and a baby bed. The "Louis XIII" room sleeps 2 in a four-poster bed.

Cottage: On the ground floor there is a kitchen, dining room, living room with TV, a large sofa bed to sleep 2, and a shower room and WC. On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a WC.

Outside the chateau sits in 175 hectares of grounds with private gardens, outdoor dining facilities and BBQ area, a table tennis table, petanque and the swimming pool, all with spectacular views across the valley.

All the villages bordering the Sorgues are as warm as they are beautiful. Montpellier and the beach is only 115km away. St. Affrique is 12km away and there you can find world class cuisine.

The chateau is conveniently located 1 hour 15 mins from Montpellier, 35 minutes from Millau and 15 mins from the Roquefort caves.

The owners Eric and Katy will be on site to welcome you and answer any questions that you may have. If you require someone to help with the cooking the owners can call in one of their friends who will be happy to help. A price on application but it is generally €25 per hour.

- Capacity: The property comfortably sleeps 20 adults and 7 children or teenagers.
- Security deposit: €3000. The security deposit is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price. There may be a charge for the low seasons.
- End of stay cleaning: €400.
- Arrival time: 5pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.

- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
