Situated in the pretty French village of Fontareches, standing in the grounds of an impressive chateau you will find a haven of rest and relaxation. The setting is unique with over 1.5 acres of woodland garden, private pool and terrace.

This 18th century stone built house has been restored and appointed to an exceptionally high standard, ensuring that your stay is as luxurious as possible.  The main house sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms.

A recently renovated pool side cottage, complete with its own kitchenette and bathroom sleeps an additional 4 guests in 2 bedrooms.

A total of 10 guests can be accommodated at Villa Fontare.  Facilities are split between the main house and the pool side cottage, with plenty of outdoor dining areas.

Main House (Sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms).
Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, one twin bedroom and one double bedroom.  Fixed air conditioning in the living room and top master bedroom with a further mobile air conditioning unit.

Pool Side Cottage (Sleeps up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms).
A delightful two bedroom cottage that sleeps up to 4 people. Complete with bathroom & kitchenette, facilities include microwave, oven, fridge-freezer, iPod docking station and DVD player.

Garden Area
The swimming pool is charming with a pool alarm and pool safety cover to European safety standards. The garden is well stocked with an abundance of fig, cherry, walnut and olive trees. There is a large sandpit for the children to play in. The fully enclosed garden has everything you need to unwind from umbrellas and sundowners to beautiful teak tables for al fresco dining. As well as a charcoal barbecue, there is a great selection of outdoor games to keep everyone amused as well as bicycles on which you can explore the local area.

Fontareches is a quiet, medieval village which is surrounded by vineyards, asparagus and melon fields, apricot and cherry trees. A few minutes walk away are the most lovely pine woods and it is also on the doorstep of the Cotes du Rhone wine trail.

The nearest village is St.Quentin la Potterie. A short car drive or bike ride will lead you down to this village which has 3 bakeries, a butcher, newsagent, bar, organic cafe, small supermarket and pharmacy. A market is held here every friday.

12km away is the delightful town of Uzes, which has the distinction of being the first Duchy of France. Uzes is a town of towers, vaulted stone walkways and cobbled streets. The market here is famous and a wonder of the Provencal world and is a marvellous celebration of everything southern. It is within easy reach of the galleries, restaurants and delectable shops.

Also nearby is that marvel of Roman engineering, the Pont du Gard, where you can sunbathe and picnic or even swim in the crystal clear waters. The Pont du Gard is a photographer's dream, especially at sunrise or sunset. The area is also fabulous for walking with beautiful beaches just under 1hour away, where the magical Camargue horses roam.

Avignon, Nimes and Orange are all within a 45 minute drive. Also within an hour are the foothills of the Cevennes and the Gorges of the Creche. The area is steeped in Roman history and famous for its festivals. Canoeing, horse riding, fishing, rock climbing, golf, tennis, biking, canoeing, rafting and boating are all available nearby.
