This striking 12th century medieval Chateau de l'Ange sits at the foot of the Black Mountain in the stunning Minervois region. It comprises of the main building (3x living rooms, dining room, 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and library), 4 towers and dovecote, swimming pool and large terraced garden (5 hectares).
It is possible to rent the whole chateau for groups of up to 14 people. If you wish, you can also hire domestic staff (cook, maid etc).
Chateau de l’Ange was one of the fortified chateaux built to defend against the Pope’s forces during the Albigensian crusade in the 13th century. Throughout the centuries the house passed through generations of feudal lords of South-West France until it finally came to the Ecal family, who own the chateau today. The house has survived wars and fires, as highlighted by the differing window styles across the property.
