The large, carved oak front door leads to a grand hallway from which you will find the living room that offers comfortable sofas around a finely carved fireplace with a large wood burner, satellite TV, DVD player, and multi disc stereo. A huge, carved dining room table seats 16 easily and a grand piano also adorns the room. The kitchen is fully fitted, and includes range cooker with five burners, two ovens and a grill. Twin arches lead through to the breakfast room and the back door leads straight out to the rear terrace and pool. The tower bedroom is round in shape, with two windows and en suite shower room. Wi-Fi internet connection is present in the chateau so people can bring their own laptops.
Stairs from the main hallway lead into a small foyer containing an IT station, sink, and a door leading into a utility room. An archway leads into a round cellar wine bar featuring bespoke, carved centre table and seating for 12, subdued lighting, and a music system. With circular wine racks holding up to 1,000 bottles of local and regional wine, the cellar provides the perfect retreat for conversing, relaxing, or simply sampling the local vintage.
On the first floor there is access to a balcony over the front door, and another balcony and spiral staircase to the south, which overlooks the pool. There are 4 double bedrooms (two of which has an extra single bed). Two of these bedrooms have en suite bathroom facilities and incredible panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
On the second floor two further double bedrooms can be accessed from the small central landing. These are served by a shower room with a WC and washbasin. Two twin bedded rooms with en suite shower rooms are also on this floor. Each bedroom has wardrobes and more than ample shelving.
To the north of the chateau is a 4,000 sq foot indoor sports complex. It provides a full size badminton court, two competition table tennis tables, a pool table, table football, darts and various gym and weight lifting equipment (including steppers, exercise bikes, orbital runners, inversion table, running machine, weight bench and multi gym). There is also a wall rack for racquets, bats, golf clubs, balls etc and four adults mountain bikes & two child bikes.
Outside is the enclosed L-shaped solar heated swimming pool with safety gates, and extensive terracing and balustrading surrounding it. There are 13 sun loungers, 3 large parasols, side tables, and 2 large plastic dining tables with 16 chairs. There is also an Australian gas barbeque and the large front terrace with octagonal teak table with chairs and an umbrella. Beneath a large canopy is an additional long dining room table (seating 18). 50 acres of grounds with formal gardens surround the chateau, leading to a target golf course with 5 flags. Beyond which wild flower fields and oak woods cascade into deep valleys. Although the grounds are not fenced, the property lies at the end of a cul-de-sac holding just one other property. There is space for up to seven cars to park.
