The historical Chateau de la Flacelliere is located in the Western Loire and is available for booking by the day, the week, the month or longer. It is the stunning Keep building next to the main chateau that is available for hire. The extensive grounds of the estate house a swimming pool (for guests use) and superb manicured gardens.

The Keep can sleep up to 10 guests and has a private garden with exotic trees and flowers, a barbeque dining terrace and plenty of garden furniture. For larger groups, up to 24, it is also possible to rent the neighbouring Pavilion (sleeps 10) adjacent to the Keep.

The Keep (a medieval tower) spacious medieval keep, dated from the 11th century offers refined and bright suites. The waxed parquet floors and family antique furnishings are combined with discrete and modern comforts in harmony with the history of the property. Fine linens and top quality bathrooms. The keep has 4 levels which you reach by a large granite staircase, quiet easy to use.

Ground Floor:
Entrance and a medieval dinning room with antique tapisseries on the walls and a gothique renaissance fireplace. Nearby a well equipped kitchen for 10 persons which a splendid view on the charming, sheltered french garden, enhanced by colorful flowers and a trellis laced with climbing roses and on the hilly Bocage

First Floor:
The medieval suite for 2 persons will enchant the guests who are looking for medieval period. A splendidly painted domed ceiling. Large four poster bed of 160cm x 200 in suite with a bathroom with an Italian shower, a bathtub and a separate toilet. The view from the bathroom is romantic.

Second Floor:
The Maillé suite for 2 or 4 persons. An apartment with a large double room , a king size 4 poster bed with nearby another smaller room with 2 poster bed ; single beds and in suite a large bathroom with two sinks,a bath tub,a separate shower and 2 toilets.( The king size bed can be separate into single beds.)

Third Floor:
The Belle Ecossaise suite for 2 or 4 persons. An refined apartment with a large double room , a king size bed with nearby another smaller room with a king size bed and in suite a large bathroom with two sinks,a bath tub with shower and a separate toilet. (The beds can be separate into single beds.)

The Keep has a private garden with exotic trees and flowers, a barbeque dining terrace and plenty of garden furniture. We recommend a picnic by the pond! Also within the grounds of the estate you will find the swimming pool with sun loungers. You will find ample parking in front of the Chateau.

There is a village close by where you will find small shops and a supermarket. There is also a bank, cash machine, a doctors clinic, chemist, restaurant, café which is in Pouzauges 7km away. There is a tennis court in the village which is within walking distance. There are excellent golf courses and horse riding possibilities within 25 minutes of the castle.

Nantes International airport is 70km away. Trips to the famous Loire chateaux and vineyards are of course possible.

Should you wish, you can also enjoy fine gourmet dining with the Viscount and Viscountess in the main chateau. Exquisite table settings, antique silver, sparkling crystal, fine porcelain and fresh flowers from the chateau garden will adorn the table.

- Reception fees for a wedding in the castle area (maximum of 30 guests). This includes the rental of the reception garden, the stainglass gallery for the dinner and the dancing area in the vaulted gallery, chairs, table and table cloth : 1000€

- There is a nice restaurant within walking distance in the village. It is ideal for a wedding rehearsal dinner or group dinner the night before.

The Pavilion has a telephone and the phone bill must be settled before you leave the castle. The chateau also has WiFi internet connection.

- Security deposit: €1000. The security deposit is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: Linen and towels are included in the rental price, changed each week. Please remember to bring your own pool towels.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price. There may be a charge in the winter.
- End of stay cleaning: €200.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
- Swimming pool : The swimming pool (14m x 6m) is available between 9AM and midday and 2PM and 7PM. The swimming pool is not available between midday and 2PM. No food is allowed at the pool. A gate with code number do not allow small children to enter at the swimming pool without adults. The pool is shared between guests at the chateau, the keep and the pavilion.

- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
